Glenfiddich 15 Year Old


OK, so this isn’t so much a recipe as a recommendation. Over the month of August we see a massive increase in sales of Single Malt Scotch Whisky and most of the festival-going public like a bit of advice about which malt to try.


Of course our recommendations vary depending  on people’s personal preferences and we’re certainly not saying Glenfiddich 15 is the best whisky on the bar – but it’s pretty close!


This fantastic liquid reeks of warm spice, honey and rich fruit and is a big favourite amongst the staff and customers at Monteiths. It’s aged in European, American and New American oak which results in a careful release of flavours and a rounded flavour profile. The whisky is then mellowed in Glenfiddich’s unique Solera Vat before being finished in Portuguese oak tuns.
