Fantastic cocktails are at the heart of what we do here at Monteiths afterall delicious food requires delicious drinks. After months of hard work we recently changed our cocktail selection and we’re sure you’ll love our new creations. One of the stand outs is the Ambarato Spritz. Light, refreshing & the perfect cocktail for the Summer months and upcoming Edinburgh Fringe Festival. It's also an incredibly easy drink to make up yourself at home.
50ml Martini Ambrato vermouth
20ml quinine syrup
2 dots Bob’s Abbotts bitters
20ml lemon juice
6 frozen grapes
75ml Altane Prosseco
Stir the vermouth, quinine syrup, bitters & lemon juice in a nice big wine glass with the frozen grapes and a generous amount of ice. Top up with the Prosecco and garnish with a cocktail stick which has speared 4 grapes. Enjoy!
Our take on the classic spritz is just one of many new cocktails now being served at the Monteiths bar.
